"I've been having this pain in my stomach for a few days now. It's not getting any better."
"Have you seen a doctor?"
"No, I haven't had time."
"You should make an appointment as soon as possible. It could be something serious."
"I know, I know. I'll call them tomorrow."
"Good. In the meantime, you can try taking some over-the-counter pain medication to see if that helps."
"Okay, I'll do that. Thanks for your help."
"No problem. Feel better soon."
The next day, Person 1 calls the doctor and makes an appointment for the following week. They go to the appointment and the doctor runs some tests. The doctor tells Person 1 that they have a stomach ulcer and prescribes some medication. Person 1 takes the medication and the pain goes away.
